Rohit Sharma and his men beat RCB by 46 runs in IPL clash

Mumbai, Apr 18 (IBNS): Current champions Mumbai Indians registered a major victory in the ongoing Indian Premier League as the home side defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 46 runs in a group stage match here on Tuesday.

After batting first, Mumbai had posted mammoth 213 runs for the loss of six wickets.

Bangalore were then restricted to 167 for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs.

For Mumbai, skipper Rohit Sharma (94) was in a sharp form as he hammered the opposition attack all around the park.

He hit 10 boundaries and five sixes in his innings.

Lewis contributed 65 runs with his bat.

He hit six boundaries and five sixes in his knock.

Umesh Yadav and Corey Anderson picked up two wickets each for RCB.

In return skipper Virat Kohli of RCB showed his heroics and remained unbeaten at 92 runs till the end.

However, he got no support at the other end which resulted in a big defeat.

Krunal Pandya took three wickets for Mumbai.
