Sachin should have been allowed to score 200 in Multan: Yuvraj Singh recalling Dravid's infamous declaration

Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar was almost stunned to walk off the field batting at 194 when India's stand-in captain Rahul Dravid declared his team's first innings in the inaugural Test match against Pakistan in Multan way back in 2004.

Dravid, who was leading India in absence of then skipper Sourav Ganguly, declared India's innings after Yuvraj Singh was dismissed.

Reportedly, Tendulkar was unhappy with the decision of Dravid.

Breaking his silence on the infamous decision, Singh said as quoted by News 18, "We got a message in between that we had to play fast, and we were going to declare."

"He could have got those six runs in another over and we bowled 8-10 overs after that. I do not think another two overs would have made a difference to the Test match," he added.

India, who were led by Dravid in the first two Tests and Ganguly in the third, had decimated Pakistan 2-1 in the three-match competition.
