Sachin Tendulkar wishes Indian Blind cricket team after World Cup victory

Mumbai, Jan 22 (IBNS): Former Indian captain Sachin Tendulkar on Monday congratulated the Indian Blind cricket team for winning the World Cup.

"Jahan chah wahan raah... As they rightly say, Determination will get you through everything. A big salute to our entire team. Hearty congratulations on winning the #BlindCricketWorldCup. #TeamIndia," Sachin tweeted.

Creating history, Indian blind cricket team defeated Pakistan by two wickets to clinch their second Blind Cricket World Cup title in Sharjah.

Apart from the cricket legend, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind also wished the Indian team.

"Congratulations to our cricket team for winning the 2018 Blind Cricket World Cup! They make the nation proud and inspire every Indian with their game as well as phenomenal attitude. True champions!," Modi tweeted.

Kovind said: "Congratulations to India team for winning the 'Blind Cricket World Cup'! The team showed exceptional skills, grit & determination. The nation is proud of their achievement #PresidentKovind."

Congress chief Rahul Gandhi also wished the Indian team and tweeted: "Congratulations Team India on your historic win at the #BlindCricketWorldCup The nation celebrates with you tonight and takes pride in your achievement."
