Sarfraz Ahmed taken to hospital after complaining of headaches
Dubai, Oct 19 (IBNS): After complaining of a headache, Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed was sidelined at the start of the play of the second Test against Australia on Friday.
Team management said Sarfraz was taken to a hospital for precautionary scans and Asad Shafiq led the team in his absence, with Mohammad Rizwan deputizing as wicketkeeper, reported Dawn News.
While batting on Thursday, Ahmed was hit near to his left ear when he tried to duck Peter Siddle's short delivery.
Pakistan news anchor Zainab Abbas tweeted: "News - Rizwan will keep behind the stumps as Sarfraz has gone to hospital to see Doctor as he was hit on his head yesterday,slight concussion,Asad Shafiq will lead the team in absence of Sarfraz #PAKvAUS."
