US Open: Roger Federer beats Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka to reach second round
New York, Aug 29 (IBNS): Swiss Tennis master Roger Federer on Tuesday defeated Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka to move to the second round of the US Open.
Federer defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-2, 6-4 in the first round match of the grand slam.
Frenchman Benoit Paire, who defeated Austrian Dennis Novak 7-6 (6), 3-6, 7-5 and 7-6 (5), will now face the Swiss master in the second round.
