974 'missing persons' in detention, Pakistan SC informed

Islamabad: The Missing Persons Commission submitted a report to the Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday where it revealed that 974 people declared missing were in detention centres.

The report also showed that 616 people are currently in prisons.

According to the report, 81 people reached their homes in November, reports The Express Tribune.

A total of 9,133 missing person complaints were received, and the commission traced 5,574 of them while 3,743 reached their homes, it added.

The report said that a total of 241 bodies of missing persons were found, the newspaper reported.

It also said that a total of 6,926 missing person cases had been dealt with, while 2,207 cases of missing persons were pending as of November 30.
