Afghanistan: Explosion leaves seven children killed

Kabul, Apr 15 (IBNS):  An unexploded ordnance detonated in Afghanistan's eastern Laghman province on Sunday and left at least seven children killed, media reports said.

The incident left seven others reportedly hurt.

The children were playing outside their houses in Basram area, a village on the outskirts of the Mihtarlam city, the center of Laghman, when they were hit by an unexploded ordnance, provincial governor’s spokesman Assadullah Dawlatzai was quoted as saying by Tolo News.

The incident occurred around 5 pom local time.
