Afghanistan: Terrorist attack NATO convoy, foreign soldier's feared killed

Kabul, Aug 2 (IBNS): Several foreign soldiers are feared to have been killed as a car-suicide bombing hit a NATO convoy in Afghanistan's southern Kandahar province on Wednesday, media reports said.

The incident occurred at  Shurandam area in the city.

Provincial police spokesman Zia Durrani told country's Pajhwok Afghan News the attack was carried out by a bomber in a Datsun pick-up.

Samiullah, a resident of the area, told the agency: “A very heavy explosion targeted the foreign forces. A helicopter arrived soon and the area was cordoned by international soldiers.”
