Kabul, Apr 6 (IBNS): During raid in Chapahar district of eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, security forces have killed two Islamic State terrorists, media reports said on Friday.

According to reports, they have also seized an explosives-laden vehicle.

"A statement from the governor’s house the slain Daesh (IS' name in Arabic) rebels had been planning an attack in Jalalabad, the provincial capital, 'on an important government organ'", reported Pajhwok Afghan News.

"But their plan was frustrated after the bomb-rigged car was confiscated and the two Daesh men were killed," the statement further said.

Nangarhar governor’s spokesman told the Afghanistan-based news agency that in a separate incident a key Taliban member, Shahidullah aka Amin, has been arrested.

He told  Pajhwok Afghan News the detainee had confessed to serving under Taliban commander Hamza’s leadership and committing terrorist activities in different areas.
