Balochistan: Blast targeting passenger train kills 4

Islamabad, Mar 17 (IBNS): At least four people were killed as a blast targeted a  passenger train in Balochistan's Dera Murad Jamali area on Sunday, media reports said.

District Police Officer Irfan Bashir told Dawn News that suspected miscreants planted an improvised explosive device at the railway track to target Jaffar Express.

As the passenger train reached Dera Murad Jamali, there was a huge blast, he told the Pakistan-based newspaper, adding that the blast damaged a portion of the track. 

"Jaffar Express was going from Rawalpindi to Quetta when attacked," he told the newspaper.

The incident left Six people hurt.

The injured people were shifted to hospital for treatment.

Security personnel reached the spot after the mishap.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has condemned the incident.
