Bangladesh AC blasts: Mosque committee chief arrested
Narayanganj: The Bangladesh Criminal Investigation Department or CID officials have arrested the head of Baitus Salat Jame Mosque's management committee over a case related to the blasts of airconditioner which killed 34 people recently.
Abdul Gafur, 65, was apprehended outside his house in the west Talla area on Oct 30, according to Superintendent Md Nasir Uddin Ahmed of Narayanganj's CID unit, reports bdnews24.
He said legal action will be taken against the arrested person.
Six blasts took place at the Baitus Salah Jame Mosque in Sadar upazila of Naryanganj during Isha prayer in September.
