Bangladesh: Actor Sadek Bachchu dies due to COVID-19

Dhaka: A Bangladeshi actor has died due to COVID-19 related illness, media reports said.

66-year-old Sadek Bachchu died at Universal Medical College Hospital in Dhaka.

Bachchu breathed his last while taking treatment at Universal Medical College Hospital in Dhaka around 12:05 pm on Monday, Dr Ashis Kumar Chakraborty, managing director of the hospital told bdnews24.

“Bachchu had pneumonia after positive coronavirus test. He died from a combination of ailments linked to multi-organ failure,"  Ashis Kumar Chakraborty told the news portal.

Known for his dynamic performance on the big screen, the actor clinched the National Film Award for playing the “best villainous role” in “Ekti Cinemar Golpo” in 2018.
