Bangladesh court rejects petition to remove as Islam state religion
Dhaka, Mar 28 (IBNS) Setting aside a writ petition, Bangladesh High Court on Monday ruled that Islam will remain the state religion in the constitution of the Asian nation.
The order was given by a special bench led by justice Naima Haider, justice Kazi Rezaul Haque and justice M Ashraful Kamal.
The petition had challenged the legality of Islam's status as state religion in the country's constitution.
