Bangladesh Defence Secretary dies of Covid-19

Dhaka/UNI:  Bangladesh Defence Secretary, Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury has died of COVID-19 on Monday morning.

He breathed his last at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka around 9:30am.

Selina Haque, Additional Secretary of Defence Ministry, confirmed his death to Indian news agency UNI.

He left behind his wife, a son and a daughter and many well wishers to mourn his death. He is the younger brother of Prime Minister’s former Principal Secretary Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury.

Earlier this morning, Laila Arjumand Banu, wife of Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, died from coronavirus died at the same hospital.
