Bangladesh FR Tower fire: Firefighter Sohel Rana dies, death toll touches 27

Dhaka, Apr 8 (IBNS): A firefighter, who was hurt while he was trying to rescue people trapped in a high-rise in Bangladesh capital Dhaka last month, died on Monday, media reports said.

The deceased person was identified as Sohel Rana.

He died in a hospital in Singapore where he was undergoing treatment.

He died while undergoing treatment in the Singapore General Hospital at 2:17pm (Bangladesh time) on Monday, according to Fire Service Control Room Officer Lima Khanam, reported bdnews24 news portal.

The death toll in the incident has now touched 27 with the death of the firefighter.

Dhaka witnessed yet another massive tragedy last moth when fire broke out at
the FR Tower in the Bangladesh capital.
