Bangladesh: Train hits bus at level crossing, 2 die

Narayanganj: A  train hit a bus at a level crossing in Narayanganj of Bangladesh on Sunday which left at least two people dead, media reports said.

Five others were injured in the incident which took place at the city’s railway gate No.1 on Sunday, Narayanganj Sadar Police Station chief Shah Zaman told bdnews24.

The identities of the victims were not known so far.

The injured people were taken to Narayanganj General Hospital for treatment.

The train was heading to Narayanganj station from Dhaka when it ploughed into the bus, operated by Ananda Paribahan, while it was stuck in traffic at the crowded level crossing, reports the news portal.
