Dhaka building fire leaves one woman killed

Dhaka/IBNS: A fire broke out at a residence in Dhaka's Mohammadpur area which left a woman killed, media reports said.

The fire broke out at a residential building on Bashbari Mandir road area in the capital city.

She was identified as Mabia Begum.

Fire Service and Civil Defence control room duty officer Ershad Hossain said the fire originated from an electric short circuit on the fourth floor of the seven storied building and engulfed the whole house, Dhaka Tribune reported.

Four firefighting units went to the spot and brought the flames under control.

They recovered the body of the woman.
