Kabul/Sputnik/UNI: A foreign military helicopter crashed in Afghanistan on Monday in a Taliban attack, according to the movement's statement.

According to the Taliban, the helicopter was attacked at about 12 p.m. local time (7:30 GMT) in the Delaram district of the province of Nimruz.

Nimruz Governor Syed Wali Sultani has denied the Taliban’s account of the events. He told Sputnik the helicopter belonged to the Afghan National Army and was bringing supplies to security forces at Delaram headquarters when it had a technical problem and made an emergency landing. There were no casualties or damage.
