Funeral prayer offered for slain Pakistani rights activist Khurram Zaki

Karachi, May 8 (IBNS) Several people participated in offering funeral prayers for slain rights activist Khurram Zaki outside the Chief Minister House in Pakistan's Karachi city on Sunday.

According to reports, several relatives, supporters, and activists gathered near the CM House to attend the funeral prayers.

Civil society activist  Khurram Zaki  was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Pakistan's Karachi city on Saturday, media reports said.

The incident left two others injured.

According to the police, Zaki was sitting  at an outdoor restaurant in Sector 11-G of North Karachi  when attackers attacked him.

"Zaki was sitting at a cafe where he was targeted by four armed men arriving on two motorcycles," Muqadas Haider, a senior police official was quoted as saying by Geo News.

The injured people were taken to hospital for treatment.
