Kabul: Coordinated attack on military academy

Kabul, Jan 29 (IBNS): Insurgents have launched a coordinated attacked on a military academy in Afghanistan capital Kabul city on Monday, media reports said.

According to the initial reports, a group of insurgents are engaged in heavy gun battle with the security forces in the vicinity close to the Marshal Fahim military academy and several of explosions apparently that of RPGs have been heard, Khaama Press reported.

No casualty has been reported so far.

More details are awaited.

Meanwhile, the death toll in the Kabul ambulance bomb attack has risen to 95, reports said.

The incident took place on Saturday in the city's Sedarat Square region.

According to the official, an explosive filled ambulance was detonated at around 1 am, causing the damage.

The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the incident.
