Kandahar: 5 Taliban terrorists killed

Kabul/IBNS: Conducting an operation in south Kandahar province, the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces have killed five suspected Taliban terrorists, media reports said on Sunday.

The Special Operations Corps said in a statement said the security forces killed 5 Taliban militants during a joint raid in Khakriz district of Kandahar, reported Khaama Press.

The security forces also discovered and defused five Improvised Explosive Devices during the operation, the Special Operations Corps added in its statement, reported the Afghanistan-based news agency.

The Taliban group did not comment on the matter so far.
