Over 170 people killed in Balochistan in 2020: Rights council

| @indiablooms | Mar 21, 2021, at 06:43 am

Quetta: The Human Rights Council of Balochistan has revealed that last year 480 individuals were “forcibly disappeared” and 177 were killed and their  bodies were thrown in the wilderness in the Pakistani region.

The rights group added that these “conservative” numbers were derived from the information accessible to them from various areas of Balochistan. The actual toll might be higher, reports The Balochistan Post.

The rights group said that 2020 was no different than any other year in Balochistan – human rights violations were carried out as usual, reports the newspaper.

The speakers revealed to the newspaper that 2020 was also not a particularly good year for women.
