Islamabad/UNI/Xinhua: Two people were killed and four others injured in a firing incident in Muzaffargarh district of Pakistan's Punjab province on Tuesday, local reports said.

The incident happened when two rival groups opened fire on each other after an argument between them, the reports said.

One group allegedly accused the other of spying against them for the police, which led to the arrest of one of their family members.

The injured people were shifted to a nearby hospital where two of them are in critical condition.

Police reached the site following the firing incident and a search operation is underway to arrest the culprits from both groups, the reports added.
