Pakistan: Educationist gunned down in Karachi, police call it 'targeted killing'
Karachi: An educationist, who is also a senior office-bearer of a private schools association, was gunned down by unknown attackers in Pakistan's Karachi city on Sunday.
Police described the incident as a ‘targeted attack’.
The incident occurred in Gulistan-i-Jauhar region of the city.
Victim Syed Khalid Raza, 55, was the deputy director of the Darul Arqam Schools, Karachi region, reports Dawn News.
SSP-East Zubair Nazeer Shaikh told Dawn News that the victim came out of his home towards his car parked nearby.
He said assailants on a motorcycle emerged there, opened fire at him and rode away.
The victim suffered a single bullet wound in the head and died on the spot.
“Definitely, it appears to be a targeted killing incident,” said the SSP.
