Pakistan extends suspension of flight till May 15

Islamabad/UNI: A day after Pakistan government extended the nationwide lockdown by 15 more days to curb the spread of COVID-19, the country has now extended the suspension of international flight till May 15, according to the country's aviation department.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the department said that the suspension has been extended up to May 15, 2020, at 2359 hrs.

Earlier, the government had extended the suspension until April 21.

The decision was taken during the meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on COVID-19 headed by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Pakistan's news daily The Express Tribune reported.

As of Sunday morning, the country has reported 12,657 COVID-19 cases, and 265 deaths.
