Pakistan: Police shot dead by unknown gunmen in Wana
South Waziristan: Unknown gunmen have shot dead a police official in Pakistan's Wana region on Wednesday, media reports said on Friday.
Residents told Dawn News Assistant Sub-Inspector Aslam Javed was walking after Iftar in the main town when attackers driving a non-custom paid car opened fire on him near Pir Sultan Mosque.
He died instantly on the spot.
His body was shifted to District Headquarters Hospital.
Police have started investigating the matter.
