Islamabad, Mar 6 (IBNS):The Pakistani government has put  brother and son of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Masood Azhar under "preventive detention", media reports said.

"In order to implement National Action Plan (NAP), a high-level meeting was held in the Ministry of Interior on March 4, attended by all representatives of all provincial governments," said a statement issued by the country's Ministry of Interior as reported by Dawn News.

"These actions will continue, as per the decisions taken in National Security Committee (NSC) while reviewing NAP," it said.

The two major persons put under 'preventive detention' are Masood Azhar's brother Mufti Abdul Rauf and son Hamaz Azhar.

They are among 44 people detained by officials so far.

Jaish-e-Mohammed  has been in the news in recent times over the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama area which left 40 Indian CRPF personnel killed.

India has handed over to Pakistan a dossier with "specific details of the JeM complicity" in Pulwama attack.
