RemoteBase, a technology start-up based in Islamabad, has raised $1.4 million in investments from Silicon Valley investors, reflecting, what some feel, the growing tech ecosystem of Pakistan.

Several renowned and global companies participated in this round of investment.

Billionaire investor Tim Draper, Hustle Fund Ventures, and other well-known angel investors from Silicon Valley also participated in the round led by the Indus Valley Capital.

According to a report in Dawn, RemoteBase capitalized on the pandemic and enabled Pakistani software engineers and developers to work directly with Silicon Valley companies, creating a business model which attracted one of the largest investment seed rounds for any Pakistani company.

Tech professionals and entrepreneurs of the country were excited to receive funding from Silicon Valley.
