Pakistan: Unknown men gun down blasphemy accused in Multan

Multan: Unknown men shot dead a blasphemy accused in Pakistan's Multan city, media reports said.

According to reports, the incident occured when the accused  was coming to appear before an additional sessions judge on Tuesday.

The accused received five bullets and was rushed to the Nishtar Hospital in a critical condition, The News International reported.

The accused, Shakir, had been accused of blasphemy in a case registered in 2019. He was on the way to attend the hearing of his case when unidentified persons opened fire at him, the newspaper reported.

Shakir’s relatives told the newspaper that the complainant shot Shakir.
