Political crisis in island nation:

Sri Lanka President Maithripala Sirisena on Friday sacked Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and appointed former president Mahinda Rajapaksa as the new premier.

Rajapaksa was sworn-in on Friday itself.
