Kabul/Islamabad/UNI: A strong earthquake struck Afghanistan and Pakistan on Friday, with casualties and property damage feared.

A 6.4-magnitude earthquake rocked several cities of Pakistan including capital Islamabad on Friday, the country's National Seismic Monitoring Center said.

According to the reports, the epicenter of the quake was located in the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan with a depth of 210 km.

The earthquake was felt in several parts of the country's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, eastern Punjab province and other northern areas of Pakistan.

No loss of life or property has been immediately reported, but the quake created panic among the people who scrambled out of buildings and compounds.
