Jammu and Kashmir: CUK holds arts and crafts competition
Srinagar: The School of Education of the Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Monday held an arts and crafts competition for the students in collaboration with Government Senior Secondary School Natipora.
A statement of CUK issued here said that a camp was organised by the varsity in collaboration with the Government Senior Secondary School Natipora in which an art and craft competition was held for the students of 6th, 7th and 8th classes.
The statement said that Arbaz Ahmad was declared the overall winner of the competition.
It said that in the 8th standard category the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes were bagged by Irfan Ahmad, Bumika Akhter and Nehal; in the 7th standard category, the 1st and 2nd prize was bagged by Sania Akhter and Seerat Jan, and in the 6th standard category, the 1st and 2nd prize was bagged by Sabreena Akhter and Aiman Jan.
The statement said that the CUK’s School of Education was fulfilling its social commitment by providing education and mentorship to hundreds of students belonging to SEDGs across Jammu and Kashmir.
The statement said that the camp which was supervised by Dean and Head School of Education, Syed Zahoor Ahmad Geelani.
It said that the Vice Chancellor, Prof Mehrajuddin Mir, through a video conference, lauded the efforts of the department and praised the teacher trainees who organised the event.
The statement said that Prof Mir assured that the varsity would continue to serve the community at the grassroots level as envisaged in the NEP-2020. Registrar, Prof Muhammad Afzal Zargar, through video conference, congratulated all the students for participating in the competition on a chilling winter day.
