Oxford University Press India introduces ‘Oxford Inspire’

Kolkata: Oxford University Press (OUP) India, a department of the University of Oxford, England organised a gathering for the school principals and educationists in Kolkata. 

It is also hosted workshops in 'English Language Teaching and Inspirational Leadership' to build upon the capacity of  principals and reachers in the east India state.

Celebrating its 110 years in India, Oxford University Press (OUP) announced the launch of its latest suite of blended learning solutions- 'Oxford Inspire'.

Catering to students of grades one to eight, Oxford Inspire is India’s first competency based blended learning solution, as per an official release.

The solution was launched by MD at OUP India Sumanta Datta.

Highlighting the significance of Oxford Inspire, Datta said, “The new blended product supports our intention to meet the ever-changing needs of the students for holistic learning by offering schoolbooks and companion digital solutions such as videos, question banks, and quizzes."

"The foundation of Oxford Inspire resonates with the approach recommended by NEP 2020 and focuses on concept-based, cross-disciplinary education, imparted through engaging theme and activity-based blended learning modules," Datta said.

At the event, OUP unveiled a new edition of its bestseller series of English books - the New Oxford Modern English. 

The textbook, who's first edition got launched in 1987, is currently in its 36th edition.

The new revision has been written in alignment to the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, offering a modernised version of the course while keeping its pedagogical core intact. 

The Department of Oxford University in India also launched a grammar series - The Grammar Scholar intended to help children in grades one to eight through an interactive approach, the release said.
