| | Jul 24, 2016, at 05:34 pm
New Delhi, July 24 (IBNS): The Delhi Police on Sunday arrested Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan on charges of threatening a woman with rape and murder.
Following his arrest, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi and posted: "Just in - Modi ji arrests one more AAP MLA."

The woman has alleged that Khan had directed a young man to threaten her with rape.

She alleged that she has been targetted for 'politicising" the issue of power cuts in the capital.

Following the arrest on Sunday, Khan's supporters gathered outside the Jamia Nagar police station to protest.

The police has said that Khan is also accused of attempting to run over the woman with his car.
