Shimla, Nov 23 (IBNS): A Colonel of the Indian Army was arrested on Wednesday over an alleged gang-rape of his colleague's daughter, reports said.

The victim has been identified as a 21-year-old daughter of a Lieutenant-Colonel posted at the Army Training Command.

The alleged crime took place in the Colonel's official residence on Monday.

According to the victim, the Colonel raped her on the pretext of helping her meet some modelling professionals.

Shimla SP Soumya Sambasivan said that an FIR has been registered against the Colonel and a friend of him, who allegedly helped him commit the crime.

The friend is however yet to be arrested.

In her complaint, the victim also stated that the Colonel had threatened to ruin her father's career if she opened her mouth about the incident.
