Cop injured during TMC's group clash in north Kolkata

Kolkata, May 21 (IBNS): A policeman was injured during a clash between two groups of ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in north Kolkata.

According to reports, two local groups of TMC engaged in a tussle with each other since Friday night at Sovabazar Durgacharan Mitra Street area. When police force went to the spot and tried to intervene into the matter, locals started stone and glass bottles pelting aiming at the police force.

One policeman was injured in the attack. Police restored to lathicharge to bring the situation under control. A heavy police force, along with the Rapid Action Force (RAF),have been deployed to the spot.
