Kejriwal urges CMs to oppose Central govt's proposal to levy excise duty on jewellery
New Delhi, Mar 26 (IBNS): Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said he has asked Chief Ministers of different states to write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and oppose the central government's proposal to levy excise duty on non-silver jewellery.
Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had proposed levying one percent excise duty on non-silver jewellery in his budget.
"I wrote to PM a few days back seeking roll back of excise on jewellers. Today, I wrote letters to all CMs urging them also to write to PM," Kejriwal tweeted.
