Mamata nephew TMC MP slapped by youth at rally
Kolkata, Jan 4 (IBNS) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew and Trinamool Congress parliamentarian Abhishek Banerjee was slapped on Sunday at a public meeting in East Midnapore by a youth while he was addressing people, triggering chaos and assault of the attacker by TMC supporters.
Banerjee was making a speech at a youth wing programme of TMC at Chandipore when the incident occurred on the dais.
The TMC MP was suddenly attacked by the youth sporting a cap. He was slapped tightly by the youth, who was immediately pinned down by the TMC men on the stage and beaten up.
A chaos followed and mediapersons were attacked too. Heavy brick batting followed.
