Naveen Patnaik announces Rs 25 lakh assistance for kin of Odia jawan killed in terrorist attack

Bhubaneswar, Jun 19 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced a compassionate assistance of Rs 25 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to the kin of Odia Jawan Ajit Sahu who was martyred in a terrorist attack in Pulwama District of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sahu, an inhabitant of Badasual village in Kamakhya Nagar area of Dhenkanal district was injured in a terrorist attack on Monday last and died while undergoing treatment.

Patnaik expressed his profound grief over the death of the Odia jawan and condemned the terrorist attack.

The Chief Minister said martyred Sahu has laid down his life for the safety and security of the country.
