The Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested Akhtar, who is the India commander of terrorist outfit Indian Mujahideen (IM), on Mar 25. He was interrogated by a joint team of Delhi Police Special Cell and central intelligence agencies. The arrested terrorists were identified as Waqas, Mahroof, Mehraj and Saquib. Waqas, a Pakistani national, is one of the most wanted men in connection with several blasts in the country, including the serial blasts in Mumbai in July 2011 that killed 27 persons and injured over 130. , two blasts occurred in Hyderabad city. The bombs exploded in Dilsukhnagar, a crowded shopping area, within 100 metres (330 ft) of each other.
