Punjab: Man ends life by consuming poisonous substance

Guru Har Sahai , Mar 27 (UNI) A man on Wednesday committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance here near village Shrinh.

Darshan Singh, father of the deceased told the police that his son Jagga Singh was under acute depression due to illicit relations of his wife with another person of the same village.


He said he and other members of the family tried their best to pressurise his wife to end her extra-marital affair but all in vain following which Jagga consumed some poisonous substance to end his life.


SHO Guru Har Sahai police station Jaswinder Singh said investigation into the case had been started and the accused would be booked after the investigations are completed.
