Uttar Pradesh: Three killed, four injured in road mishap

Lakhimpur Kheri, Apr 13 (UNI) Three people died and four others sustained serious injuries after a speeding car rammed into a tree before hitting a truck at the Paliya National Highway in Phulbehar area district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, police said.

Police said that the deceased were identified as Mauji Shakya (55), Jagjivan (35) and driver Rajesh (32). The injured are under treatment.

According to sources, all the seven people were residents of Gaura village and had gone to Churaipurwa in the car to attend a family function. The incident took place when they were returning from the function and suddenly their vehicle lost control over the wheels and rammed into a tree before hitting a truck.
