New legislation on data protection soon: Report

New Delhi: The time period for public consultations on the new data bill may be announced by the end of August as the ministry of electronics and IT (MeitY) is in the “advanced stage with the draft of the comprehensive framework,” ET reported.

New Delhi/IBNS: An FIR has been lodged against a private company for allegedly not returning a database containing personal information of 45 lakh former defence personnel after completing a contract for ECHS smart cards, a Hindustan Times report said.
