10 more people from Assam including 7 CRPF jawan tested positive for COVID-19 in Delhi

Guwahati/IBNS: At least 10 more people from Assam including seven CRPF jawan tested positive for COVID-19 in Delhi.

Confirming the report, Assam Health Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday said that, 10 more people from Assam tested positive for COVID-19 in Delhi.

On Tuesday, 55-year-old Mohammad Ikram Hussain – a Sub Inspector of CRPF hailing from Assam’s Barpeta district died due to the virus.

He was admitted to the Safdarjung hospital in Delhi a few days back after he tested positive for COVID-19.

The Assam Health minister said that seven more CRPF jawan from Assam tested positive for COVID-19 and three others also tested positive in Delhi.

According to the reports, a couple hailing from Bokakhat area in Assam’s Golaghat district who went to Delhi for cancer treatment also tested positive for COVID-19 and they are now under treatment in the isolation ward of Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital.

On the other hand, one more cancer patient from Assam’s Sivasagar district was also affected by the deadly novel Coronavirus in the national capital.

The patient went to Delhi with his wife and daughter in January and was under treatment at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. They are staying at a rented house in South Delhi area.
