Brazil sees 45,392 fresh nCoV cases, 1,088 deaths in last 24 hrs

Rio De Janeiro/UNI: Brazil on Saturday reported 45,392 fresh cases of coronavirus and 1,088 more deaths in the last 24-hour.

According to the Ministry of Health data, the country's COVID-19 tally reached 2,707,877, while death toll stands at 93,563.

Brazil has been the second most affected country in the world after the US. The US has recorded 4,617,728 confirmed cases and 154,320 deaths so far.

Sao Paulo has been the hardest hit state in Brazil with 552,318 cases and 23,236 deaths, followed by Rio de Janeiro with 167,213 cases and 13,556 deaths.
