Coronavirus Global Death Toll Tops 250,000 - Johns Hopkins University

Moscow/Sputnik/UNI: The global death toll from the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has surpassed 250,000, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The number of confirmed cases worldwide stands at 3,573,864, with 250,687 deaths.

A total of 1,159,015 people have recovered from COVID-19, according to the university.

The World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11 declared the outbreak of the new coronavirus a pandemic. According to the latest WHO data, more than 3,435,000 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the world, and over 239,000 people have died from the disease.
