COVID-19: 38 new cases found in Nashik

Nashik/UNI: As many as 38 new COVID-19 cases were detected here on Friday taking this district's pandemic tally to 559 among which 19 persons have died while 46 others have been cured, stated District Civil Hospital.

The new cases were found after the reports of 420 individuals were received today. Out of them, 38 persons were found to be infected while two patients again tested positive for the pandemic.

Among the 38 patients Malegaon once again has the highest 21 cases, 13 are from Nashik city, three from rural parts and the remaining individual is not a district native.

Among Malegaon's 21 cases, 17 are male and one-and-half-year old girl among 4 females. Presently, the city has 441 cases and 18 fatalities out of the total tally.

Among Nashik's 13 cases, six are male and 7 female, taking the tally of infected individuals to 39 in limits of Nashik Municipal Corporation while one patient has succumbed to the contagion.

In rural areas, a 37-year-old woman and a teenager were found infected in the Vinchur village whereas Dindori taluka reported its' first pandemic case as a male contracted the disease in Indore village.

Till now, 46 persons have been cured of the COVID-19.
