New Delhi/IBNS: The number of COVID-19 cases in the country is now standing at 29,974, as per the Ministry of Health released data on Tuesday.

The country now has 22,010 active cases, the government released data said.

The death toll due to the disease now stands at 937.

As many as 7,026 patients have been cured or have been discharged from medical facilities.

Meanwhile, the Indian government on Tuesday said using plasma therapy for COVID-19 treatment is currently in an experimental stage and there is 'no evidence to support that it can be used in treatment'.
