India fights COVID19: Death toll reaches 9900

New Delhi/IBNS: With over 10,000 new cases recorded in the past 24  hours, the number of COVID-19 cases in India now stands at 3,43,091, as per Ministry of Health data released on Tuesday.

The death toll due to the disease stands at 9,900.

So far, 180012 people have recovered from the highly infectious disease.

However, there are 153178 active cases in the nation at present.

The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) worldwide has surpassed 8 million, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The global case tally stands at 8,014,554, and the death toll is at 436,306.

A total of 3,838,361 people have recovered from COVID-19, according to the university.

The World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11 declared the outbreak of the new coronavirus a pandemic.

According to the latest WHO data, more than 7,823,000 cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the world, and over 431,000 people have died from the disease.
