India reports over 36,000 Covid-19 cases in 24 hours, 540 deaths

New Delhi/IBNS: India, the country which has been severely battered by the Novel Coronavirus, on Friday reported over 36,000 new infections and 540 deaths due to the disease.

With 36,594 Covid-19 cases reported in 24 hours between Thursday and Friday mornings, the tally of infections has touched 95.71 lakh.

The Covid-19 toll has touched 1,39,188.

The total active cases has further dipped to 4,16,082 as 42,916 people infected with the virus have recovered in the last 24 hours.
